Our goal is not to take kids away from the home, but to partner with parents as students mature and learn to live out their faith in practical obedience.
As students enter the 6th grade, we graduate them into our youth ministry. We strive to mentor our students through a combination of large group instruction, small group interaction, and personal relationship with older Christian believers. A healthy number of social activities are also offered allowing our youth to connect.
There are two classes during the School of Discipleship:
Middle School (6th-8th grade)
High School (9th-12th grade).
THE GEARS OF CHRIST CHURCH YOUTH
As students enter the 6th grade, they graduate into our youth ministry. Our goal is not to take kids away from the home, but to partner with parents as students mature and learn to live out their faith in Christ.
Christ Church Youth works with four gears that function to support families desiring to see their children mature in Christ. These things reflect our values, and are in place to help students grow into faithful members of Christ’s body.
1. The first gear is School of Discipleship, which takes place on Sunday mornings. We have a middle school and a high school class.
2. The second gear are Discipleship Groups, which are small groups that take place on Sunday evenings at 4:30. We discussing scripture together, seek to build strong student-leader as well as peer relationships. The leaders of these groups are extremely committed to the students, and desire to create an atmosphere of safety to discuss the Scriptures.
3. The third gear is the weekly High Life meeting. This is the time where we all gather together for fun and games, hear a message from Scripture, and pray together. We meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7pm.
4. The fourth gear are the events that are put together throughout the semester. Service is a key value, so there will be opportunities each semester for service projects. We also have movie nights every semester, and a variety of other events for both students and families.
